"First, I'll have to qualify why I gave the atmosphere 5 Stars. No, this is not some fancy yoga pants First Watch breakfast place... This is an authentic, been here forever with no updates, genuine hometown restaurant. I hope they never remodel and make this place look like some kind of sterile chain restaurant. The food's appearance wasn't all fancied up to look like some kind of pretty chain restaurant commercial either. But the taste... this is where they put all their money... quality ingredients and good size portions. The only thing that makes me angry about this food is that I'm too full to get a second helping. Highlights... their muffins or cobbler. Highly recommend!"

"Stopped in for lunch. Snagged a lunch plate with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. Sweet tea to drink. Lunch was outstanding. Went back for a peach cobbler. Atmosphere is great! Felt like I was back home in Texas."

"I lived in Apex 25 years and can't believe I've never been to this place until now. Quaint country cafe type atmosphere. Bigger inside than I imagined. Ordered eggs bacon home fries and biscuits w gravy. Highlights: sausage gravy and biscuits, excellent blueberry muffins. Will be coming back"
